Zhi Ru is an extroverted introvert who appreciates unexpected interactions with people, despite her fear of meeting new people. She believes that fun and functionality need not be mutually exclusive, and playful touches are often seen in her designs.

She is constantly amazed by how ambitious and eager to create children can be, and their potential, given the right environment. “In learning you will teach, and in teaching you will learn.” Much as her role is to share her skills and knowledge with the children, they also inspire her with their enthusiasm and creativity. She thinks that learning is a lifelong process, and it’s never too late to pick up a new skill or hobby.

Zhi Ru graduated from the National University of Singapore with an honours degree in Industrial Design in 2021. Outside of design, she also enjoys sewing, photography, and learning new languages.
