At Vivita, we constantly rethink how creativity can be nurtured…
We believe there is no formula to creative ideas, but rather the secret is in building a tinkering mindset, where each child embraces the unknown, reiterates upon ideas with resilience, to fail boldly and to take their silliest of ideas seriously.
Creative Explorers Programme
A project-based experience designed to build a tinkering mindset and impart a range of skillsets to youths.
Across a two-year cycle, learners can complete up to 16 diverse projects that cycle through four Creative Arenas, experimenting with new tools, materials and techniques while solving challenges, and discovering new ways of thinking with each project.
Engineering Lab
Invent, code, and design functional systems
e.g. Build and code a smart house model using sensors and Micro:bit.
Material Studio
Explore, experiment and transform materials with purpose
e.g. Fuse and construct discarded plastic into a functional lifestyle item
Fabrication Workshop
Build, assemble, and bring creations to life
e.g. Design and produce a personalised figurine using 3D printing and sculpting.
Story Hub
Design stories, games, and interactive experiences e.g. Improve a classic board game by redesigning its rules, components, and visual style.
Through the four interdisciplinary Creative Arenas, children gain exposure to diverse skills and ways of thinking, which they can hone through various projects. They will also have the opportunity to uncover what excites them most, finding what they might want to pursue deeper in the future.
Within the projects, we aim to cover up to…

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked
Questions
How is the Creative Explorer Program different from Tinker Time?
Both program formats have the same Vivita spirit of providing spaces for exploration, trial and error and learning by doing. The difference is that for Tinker Time children have the full autonomy to choose what they work on and explore, and for the Creative Explorer Program it is designed to expose children to a range of tools and skills through a series of projects.
What if we have a family holiday planned mid-term?
Most of our terms are planned around the school holidays to give spaces for students and families to take a break for holidays. In addition, if you provide at least 7 days’ notice, we can credit one session toward your next term’s fees.
What is the expected outcome of the 2-year program?
While the process is the focus, the 2-year roadmap exposes children to 4 creative arena and 8 skill domains, empowering them to have more tools to turn their ideas to life. Students would have created many projects, contributing to building a portfolio that reflect their growth as a “Creative Explorer.”
What is the class size and facilitator ratio?
To ensure that each child has a rich and meaningful experience, each class is capped at a maximum of 8 children, with one main facilitator and one assistant facilitator.
Can I pre-pay for a future term in advance?
Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee that there is an open slot for a future term. All pass purchases will be activated on the upcoming term.
What if I have to miss a class?
Students may miss a maximum of one class per 5-week term for valid reasons (e.g., Medical Certificate or 7-day advance notice for travel).
The value of the missed classes will be issued as a Credit Note to offset the fees for the following pass purchase.
